Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Nomo AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Nomo AI is an AI-powered productivity tool for tax and accounting professionals. The Service provides inbox classification, draft response generation, and tax research assistance through integration with your Google Workspace account (Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar).

Nomo AI is a productivity tool — not a tax advisor, legal advisor, or licensed professional. All outputs (classifications, drafted responses, research answers) are suggestions that require your professional review before acting on them.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

The Service is intended for professional use by individuals 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

To use the Service, you must authorize Nomo AI to access your Google account via OAuth 2.0. By authorizing access, you:

  • Confirm you have the right to grant access to the Google account you connect
  • Understand the specific permissions requested (email read, label, draft, and send for features you turn on; contacts read; calendar read and event creation on calendars you own; profile information)
  • Acknowledge you can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings or Nomo AI's settings

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited emails or spam
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without written permission
  • Circumvent any usage limits, credit allocations, or access controls

5. Email Handling and User Responsibility

Nomo AI never sends an email you have not reviewed or approved. Nomo AI writes drafts; you decide what to send. Approval means you review the message or, if you turn on templated sending, approve a template or workflow in advance. Nomo AI can personalize approved templates with details from your client records, such as which documents are still outstanding, and send messages within that approval. You can see everything sent and turn the feature off at any time. Forwarding and unsubscribe requests are off unless you turn them on. When enabled, forwards and unsubscribe requests are sent from your own Gmail account. They forward existing mail or ask a sender to unsubscribe you and contain nothing Nomo AI wrote.

Nomo AI will never delete your email. The Service organizes your inbox using labels and archiving only. Your complete email history remains intact.

You are responsible for the professional accuracy of any communication you send or approve, including communications drafted or personalized with the assistance of Nomo AI. Nomo AI's drafts and templates are starting points — not final work product.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to classify emails, generate draft responses, and provide tax research guidance. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions
  • Draft responses and research answers are not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or financial advice
  • You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated content before relying on it or sending it to clients
  • Nomo AI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated output
  • Tax laws, regulations, and interpretations change frequently — always verify against current authoritative sources

7. Pricing and Billing

The Service is offered on a per-user subscription basis, billed monthly or annually. Current pricing for each plan is listed on our pricing page, and the price applicable to you is the one shown at the time you subscribe. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in the Nomo AI panel. No call, no email, no notice period. If your subscription is paid by your firm, cancellation is handled by whoever manages your firm's billing.

After you cancel. Your plan stays active through the end of your current billing period, and you keep full access until then. Payments already made cover that remaining access, so they aren't returned or prorated for a partial period, except where required by law.

8. Disconnection

You may disconnect Nomo AI from your Google account at any time. Upon disconnection:

  • Nomo AI will immediately stop processing your email
  • Nomo AI organizes your mail with labels and archiving, and never deletes your mail. Disconnecting stops Nomo AI's access to your account; labels Nomo AI applied stay in place.
  • Your account data is deleted from our active systems promptly after you ask us (privacy@getnomo.ai) or close your account, and within 30 days at most; encrypted backups are purged on their regular backup cycle

Disconnecting does not cancel your subscription. Disconnecting stops Nomo AI from accessing your email; it does not stop billing. To stop being charged, cancel your subscription as described in Section 7.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, and documentation, is owned by Nomo LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.

Your data remains yours. Nomo LLC does not claim ownership of any content in your email, contacts, calendar, or any other data accessed through the Service.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at getnomo.ai/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. If we change how we use your Google data, we will show you the updated policy in the app and ask you to agree before using your data in the new way. You can decline and keep the existing behavior.

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

If the Service is unavailable, your email continues to function normally through Gmail — Nomo AI is an overlay that does not modify Gmail's core functionality.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nomo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of revenue, profits, or business
  • Loss of data (noting that Nomo AI is not a backup service for your email)
  • Errors in AI-generated classifications, drafts, or research responses
  • Missed deadlines or client communications resulting from reliance on the Service
  • Any action taken or not taken based on AI-generated content

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Nomo LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nomo LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Any email you send or approve after reviewing a Nomo AI-generated draft, template, or workflow
  • Any professional advice you provide based on Nomo AI's research outputs
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

14. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time as described in Section 7. Cancelling stops future billing; your access continues through the end of your current billing period.

You may close your account at any time by disconnecting your Google account and contacting us to request deletion of your data.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. If we terminate your access without cause during a period you have already paid for, we will refund the unused portion.

However your access ends, Nomo AI organizes your mail with labels and archiving, and never deletes your mail. Disconnecting stops Nomo AI's access to your account; labels Nomo AI applied stay in place. Your account data is deleted from our active systems promptly after you ask us (privacy@getnomo.ai) or close your account, and within 30 days at most; encrypted backups are purged on their regular backup cycle, as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. General

Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Utah.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nomo LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
